Tampico (which means "The Place of the Otters" in Huasteca) is a beautiful place located in the southeastern part of Tamaulipas, surrounded by rivers, lagoons and beaches, to the north of Veracruz . It is one of the main ports of the country for international commerce and development of the industry. The main economic activity of the city is the commerce, tourism and the petrochemical manufacturer.

One of the main attractions in Tampico is Miramar Beach which offers a wonderful landscape and a wide range of aquatic sports.
